Uplyme Viaduct - Steam Railway historical site
The house has been built over the past 230 years; with the original (rightmost in this view) section having been built in the late 1780's. The central portion is reputed to have been added some 100 years later and the flat roofed terrace section was completed in the mid to late 1960's.
This is a magnificent, 'L' shaped, double aspect (NE and SW), room featuring a Victorian fireplace and an attractive south-west facing window seat. Carpeted with genuine Axminster carpet and including new, recently installed, curtains
The Dining Room has a panelled wall and two south-west facing windows with access to the Kitchen along an internal corridor. This corridor also provides access to both a cloakroom with wash basin and to the Utility room/toilet.
This is the second lounge. Victorian fireplace with tiled inset. Coved ceiling. Double radiator under window. Stairs to first floor. Extensive range of shelving and matching cupboards. Understairs cupboard with safe inside.
The Master bedroom suite comprises matching bedside cabinets, full height wardrobes and overhead crossing cupboards surrounding a 6' 8" double bed space. Double aspect views (E and N), double radiator, and double opening doors to rooftop balcony with stunning 300 degree countryside outlooks. Interconnecting doors, via the private staircase landing area, provide access to the master bathroom and separate dressing room; with extensive full height mirrored sliding doors to pull out shelving and a wall length hanging space.
Excellent range of wall and base units, including 2 pullout larder shelves. Space for 3 upright fridges/freezers. Belfast sink with matching ceramic draining board. Built-in ceramic hob and matching Hotpoint double oven. Garden Room (breakfast area) leads to rear garden patio through double French casement doors. Additional sliding doors to outside. Situated on the first floor, the office benefits from double aspect (E and W) windows and is complete with a full range of working desks and matching glass and wood fronted cupboards. Two principal workplaces are provided with more than enough worktop space for 4 PCs and 3 printers - all are wire networked and with custom made concealed cabling spaces. The office has its own ring-main with over 20 power points - and a Panasonic 308 PABX (3 BT lines and 8 internal extensions) is installed. Fully carpeted, with 2 double radiators and also benefiting from a large, built in, storage cupboard.
An attractive and easily managed, secluded, garden space is found to the rear of the property with three small garden areas to the front. Two car parking spaces are presently available on site. An option to relocate the large single garage elsewhere on the property would create a further three car parking spaces.
From the two balcony/terrace facilities over 300 degrees of stunning countryside is in sight. On a good day, and through the lower branches of our great pine tree, you can (just !!) see the Dorset coastline. The sunrise from the Master Bedroom is enough to get anyone off to a great start for the day.

Cobb Harbour has been a famous fishing and commercial harbour since the early Middle Ages.
The town is twinned with Hamilton, Bermuda celebrating the discovery of Bermuda by Admiral Sir George Summers upon being shipwrecked there.
Uplyme Viaduct carried the former branch steam railway line between Axminster and Lyme Regis.
No longer used, this viaduct formed part of the complete railway route between Lyme Regis and the rest of the British Rail network.
